Lendale Johnson made tennis history this summer as America’s 1st Openly Gay Black Tennis Professional. And Hollywood noticed... notably Emmy Award winning actor and singer Billy Porter, who took to Instagram and shared Johnson’s story to his 1.6 Million followers. Tennis icon Billie Jean King also praised Johnson on her Twitter account and followed him on Instagram.
The pandemic hasn’t stopped Johnson from working, this week he posted a paid partnership commercial ad for the buzzing health and wellness brand “THE WELL” promoting their new immunity supplements “Turmeric Protect” & “Clean-Up Crew” cashing in $1K for a Instagram story post. He’s also staring in OUT IN NEW JERSEY October print issue with Porter.
The newly tv producer and star of “Deuces And Love” set to air on Amazon Prime, made a surprise appearance in Williamsburg tonight at “Williamsburg Thai Cuisine”. New Yorkers stopped in their tracks as their attention shifted to weigh in on the LIVE production of the show. Covid-19 has caused problems for many tv shows and movies with delays we all never dreamed of.
Lendale looked happy drinking and eating with a tennis client of his as they laughed about the New York background noises interrupting their conversation over dinner.
Academy Nominated actor, comedian, writer & producer Sampson McCormick was spotted earlier this week having dinner with Lendale in Lower East Side while wrapping up production for B-Boy Blues staring former Empire star Jussie Smollett.
